Ed McMillan, CTS  and The Browns visit at the Clan MacMillan tent while at Grandfather Mountain Highland Games.

At the Chief’s Gala in Greenville SC in 2007, held during the Greenville Scottish Games.  Thompson “Chip” Terrell IV, CTS, (L) Sir Robert Bell, CTS, Patrick McMillan, CTS  (R)  

At the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games - sitting on the bank by the main tent watching the Games was Jim Bell, CTS and his wife Bev (also CTS). They had a home made banner up saying something like: "The MacMillans are here."

Up walks the late Dr Jim McMillan (TN), (Ed McMillan’s father) and introduced himself.  At that time he was with the North American Association. Jim Bell said," ‘Tis a pity we do not have a tent here."     Dr Jim agreed, “Aye, it is.”

Next year the tent was there, thanks to Dr Jim... and the rest is history.  Year after year more MacMillan’s visit the Clan tent, join and then bring their families back to meet their newly found cousins.  It is always great to see who will show up that year and then who’s missing, too. 

We’ve become a real extended family and hope other MacMillan’s   and Septs will come and join us.
