The Appalachian Branch membership is open to all MacMillans and Septs of the Clan regardless of how the name is spelt or how watered down by generations is the connection. Of interest the present count of the different spelling of the word MacMillan is 211 and still more variations show up.

The Branch is structured in the same manner as any organization with the election of officers being conducted each year at the Annual General Meeting held at Grandfather Mountain Games in North Carolina in July where we have our largest attendance of members. The financial year being July – June, to coincide with these Games.

The Branch publishes a quarterly newsletter called “The Chatterbox” and also offers various Clan orientated items for sale at our “One Stop Shop”.
